Delhi Police transfer BJP's FIR against Rahul to crime branch

The Delhi Police has transferred an FIR filed by BJP against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to the Crime Branch. BJP claimed that their two MPs, Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput, suffered head injuries after Rahul pushed one of them during a scuffle between BJP and Congress. BJP MPs Hemang Joshi, Anurag Thakur, and Bansuri Swaraj filed the case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a money laundering case against ex-minister and BRS leader KT Rama Rao in connection with alleged financial irregularities linked to the Formula-E race. This action follows a directive from the Telangana High Court instructing the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials not to arrest the BRS leader until December 30 in the same case.

The UP Tourism Department reported that the state drew 47.61 crore tourists between January and September 2024. Ayodhya emerged as the most sought-after destination, overtaking Agra’s Taj Mahal. Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole asked CM Devendra Fadnavis to provide a list of “urban Naxal” organizations that participated in Rahul Gandhi-led ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Patole’s remark came after Fadnavis claimed that 40 out of 180 outfits in the yatra were named as frontal organizations of urban naxals.

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved significant development projects in Amaravati, totaling ₹24,276 crore. The AP Capital Region Development Authority has been authorized to raise a ₹16,000 crore loan—₹11,000 crore from HUDCO and ₹5,000 crore from the German state-owned bank KfW. This decision was made during a meeting held at the Secretariat on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
